Value Added Tax Issues (VAT Charges)

Bitrix, Inc. is a legal entity registered in Virginia, United States. If you purchase directly from Bitrix, Inc. (e.g. if you purchase a commercial subscription option inside your Bitrix24 account), and you are located outside the United States, you are making your purchase from abroad. In that case an additional tax on digital goods may be imposed on your purchase.

Due to recent tax regulations, in a number of countries a value added tax (VAT) is imposed on digital goods that are purchased abroad. The VAT calculation is based on the buyer’s location (the buyer’s country). However, for some countries (e.g. all EU countries) you may be tax-exempt. Please read below.

EU Countries

If you are making your purchase as a EU resident or EU company, an additional tax on digital goods will be imposed, unless you provide a valid VAT ID. The VAT amount varies within 5%-27% depending on your country.

If you are located in EU, and you own a EU VAT registered business (a EU-company), please make sure to specify your VAT ID along with your billing information when you are placing a new order inside your Bitrix24 account or in Bitrix24 Store. This will ensure that no additional taxes are applied to your purchase. You can verify your VAT ID here.

India

If you are making your purchase as an Indian resident or a company registered in India, an additional tax on digital goods will be imposed.

Japan

If you are making your purchase as a Japan resident or a company registered in Japan, an additional tax on digital goods will be imposed.

Norway

If you are making your purchase as a Norwegian resident or a company registered in Norway, an additional tax on digital goods will be imposed. Norwegian companies having a valid VAT ID are tax-exempt.

Serbia

If you are making your purchase as a Serbian resident or a company registered in Serbia, an additional tax on digital goods will be imposed.

South Africa

If you are making your purchase as a South African resident or a company registered in South Africa, an additional tax on digital goods will be imposed.

South Korea

If you are making your purchase as a South Korean resident or a company registered in South Korea, an additional tax on digital goods will be imposed.

Turkey

If you are making your purchase as a Turkish company which has no VAT ID, or if you purchase as a private person, an additional tax on digital goods will be imposed. Turkish companies having a valid VAT ID are tax-exempt.

Other countries

Other countries, such as Australia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Russia, etc. are also planning to introduce or have already introduced taxes on digital goods purchased from abroad. If located in one of the countries listed above, you may also be charged with an additional value tax, which will appear on your invoice.

If you have any questions about fees or taxes appearing on your invoice, please get in touch with sales@bitrix24.com
