There are five different views in the Tasks section:
- List
- Deadlines
- My plan
- Calendar
- Gantt chart
The List view displays the most information on tasks. It is useful if you want to always be aware of the latest updates on the tasks you're working on.
Configure the list view
Customize the display of columns. Check the status, priority, deadlines, and other details about your tasks right on the list.
Go to the Tasks and Projects section > Tasks. The list view is enabled by default. To configure it, click on the gear button in the top left corner.
Select the fields you want to be displayed on the list, and then click Apply.
The selected fields will be shown on the list as illustrated below.
Filter and sort tasks
Use filters to easily find and organize tasks. Here is how it works in the web version and the Mobile app.
At the top of the page, click the small gray arrow to access filters by your role in them:
- Ongoing
- Assisting
- Set by me
- Following
Another way to filter tasks by your role in them is to use the Filter and search section. Click on it, and then select the needed role from the drop-down list.
You can also filter tasks by another employee's role in them.
To see the tasks for which a specific person is responsible, click on the employee's name under the Responsible person column. This way, you apply the corresponding filter.
Then you will see only this user's tasks on the list.
You can also configure the sorting of your tasks on the list.
To see the newly updated tasks at the top of the list, click on the Active column.
Under the search bar, there is a panel with red and green counters. The red counter shows the number of overdue tasks, and the green one shows the number of unread comments.
Click any of the counters, and tasks will be filtered automatically depending on the counter you've clicked. This feature is especially useful when you need to view all overdue tasks or tasks with new comments.
Click the speech bubble icon next to the counters to clear all unread notifications about new comments.
-
This button's appearance depends on the scale of the page. Bear in mind that you may see the Mark all as read button there instead of the speech bubble icon.
Note that the In progress filter is applied in the task list by default. However, you may see completed tasks in the list of In progress tasks.
Completed tasks can be shown in the list of In progress tasks, if:
-
The task has unread comments.
-
The task has been closed by the task creator. In this case, the counter and the task will be shown in the responsible person and participants' task list.
-
The task has been closed by the supervisor. In this case, the counter and the task will be shown in the task creator, responsible person and participants' task list.
Read the comments or reset the counters using the Mark all as read button. Counters in tasks cannot be reset automatically.
Go to the Tasks and Projects section and tap on the three dots at the top right corner. Here, you can filter the tasks on the list by the roles that you have in them:
- Ongoing
- Assisting
- Set by me
- Following
To avoid missing deadlines, use the Sort by deadline option.
Also, there are three additional filters for working with the task list:
- With new comments
- Overdue
- Pending review
From the same menu, you can mark all comments as read.
To search for a task, click on the loupe icon and start typing its name. Bitrix24 will search for tasks by name, description, and comments.
Here you can also filter your tasks by status:
- In progress
- Completed
- Postponed
- Overdue
- Almost Overdue
Note that the In progress filter is applied in the task list by default. However, you may see completed tasks in the list of In progress tasks.
Completed tasks can be shown in the list of In progress tasks, if:
-
The task has unread comments.
-
The task has been closed by the task creator. In this case, the counter and the task will be shown in the responsible person and participants' task list.
-

Read the comments or reset the counters using the Mark all as read button. Counters in tasks cannot be reset automatically.
Use additional features
Some actions can be performed right from the list without opening each task.
To open the actions menu, click on the hamburger button next to the task. Here you can start or pause the task, send a ping message to request its current status, and more.
Hover the cursor over the task name to access two quick actions:
- Pin the task to the top of the list.
- Mute the task so that notifications do not disturb you.
When you participate in a task as an observer, the notification sound will be turned off by default. To turn it on, click on the megaphone icon as shown in the screenshot above.
To pin a task to the top of the list or mark all comments in it as read, swipe it from the right (for iOS) or hold it (for Android) and select the needed action.
Swipe the task to the left (for iOS) or hold it (for Android) to access more options:
- Change task deadline
- Edit roles in the task
- Send a ping message to request its current status
Tap on the More button to perform quick actions without opening the task.
