A company may have both office employees and field workers, such as couriers, sales reps, and technicians. Managers need to know who is working, where they are, and what they completed during the day. Employees need a quick way to log their work without extra reporting.
Check-in was redesigned for these needs. It is now a single tool for managing the team's workday, from morning status and route tracking to the Daily Plan and end-of-day summary.
This article explains how check-in works and what's new.
Start the workday and set a status
When an employee opens the mobile app, check-in prompts them to start their workday right away. The employee can mark the start of the workday or choose a reason for absence, send the check-in, and start the workday automatically. If they are not ready to check in yet, they can postpone the reminder.
This helps employees quickly share their status or reason for absence. The manager can immediately see who is working, who is on time off, and who is on sick leave, with no calls or follow-up needed.
Workday calendar
Check-in now includes a dedicated Work Days tab. This calendar automatically shows an employee's records, including working days, days off, time off, vacation, and sick leave. It helps track work time and verify data when calculating pay or preparing reports.
Each status has its own color, so employees and managers can quickly see how many working days there were in the month without confusion or extra clarification.
Check-in replaces three separate tools: time tracking, location tracking, and reporting. Managers can monitor the whole team in one place and see who is working, where they are, and what they completed during the day. Employees can log their day as it happens and avoid writing reports from memory.
