Configure access permissions to widgets

Bitrix24 users receive updates gradually. If you don’t see a feature yet, it will appear soon.

Configure access permissions for widgets

Bitrix24 has separate access permissions for widgets. Use them to control who can view, create, and edit widgets.

By default, only a Bitrix24 administrator can manage permissions and grant access to other employees.

To open widget permissions:

  1. Go to CRM > Sales > Sales channels > Website widget.
  2. Click Settings > Access permissions.

Standard roles

A role is a set of permissions assigned to a user.

By default, there are two roles:

  • Administrator
  • Manager

If you created roles in CRM permissions, they will appear here automatically.

Changing roles in widget settings does not affect roles in other sections. For example, deleting a role here does not remove it from CRM permissions.

Add a new role

Select New role and enter a name.

Copy a role

  1. Click Copy role.
  2. Select the role you want to copy.
  3. The new role will inherit all permissions.

Show or hide roles

Click Display roles and select which roles to show. This helps when comparing or editing multiple roles.

Set permissions

Each role can include the following permissions:

  • Read — view the list of widgets.
  • Edit — create, edit, and delete widgets.
  • User can edit preferences — manage widget access permissions.

If a user has only Edit permission, they will not have access to widgets.

Manage role settings

To edit a role, click the menu next to it and choose an action:

  • Select all permissions — grant full access.
  • Unselect all permissions — remove all access.
  • Rename — change the role name.
  • Clone — create a copy of the role.
  • Delete — remove the role and its settings.

Add employees

Click the plus icon under a role to assign:

  • users
  • departments
  • workgroups

If a user has multiple roles, the system applies the highest level of access.

To review permissions:

  • Select a user near the search bar.
  • A panel will show all assigned roles.
  • Use this to check and adjust access if needed.

In brief

  • Widget permissions are managed separately from other sections.
  • Use them to control who can view, create, and edit widgets.
  • Only administrators can configure and grant permissions.
  • Default roles include Administrator and Manager.
  • CRM roles automatically appear in widget settings.
  • You can create, copy, and customize roles.
