In BI Builder settings, you can manage various parameters:
- Set the default dashboard date range
- Change dashboard owner
- Update data for dashboards
- Enable new dashboard notifications
- Refresh the encryption key
- Choose the dashboard visibility scope
- Disable BI Builder
To access the settings, go to BI Builder > Settings > General preferences.
Default dashboard date range. Set the date range of the data to be displayed in your dashboards, like a year, a month, a week, or another one. If you don't set a date range, the dashboard will show data for a year by default.
You can set a different date range for each dashboard. Select one from the list, open the Menu (≡), and select Settings. In the pop-up window, set the desired date range.
Owner. In Bitrix24, the dashboard creator automatically becomes its owner. This user has full access to the dashboard, regardless of the configured access permissions for BI Builder. It may be that an analyst creates a dashboard, and other employees use it and update it. In such cases, you can change the owner to simplify access.
You can change the owner in the dashboard settings. Only the owner or an employee who has permission to edit dashboards can do this. Select the desired dashboard from the list, open the settings, and specify the new owner.

Update data. To see new information in the dashboards, click Update data now. This will refresh data for all dashboards. Hover over the button to see when you can update it again.
New dashboard notifications. Select the employees to receive notifications about new and updated dashboards. Add employees to the list of recipients, and they will be aware of the latest changes made to the built-in dashboards.
Encryption key. The key is a unique identifier that binds data from Bitrix24 to BI Builder. If you think someone outside your team knows the key, refresh it to keep your data safe.
If you've removed all your keys by mistake, refresh them to get back into BI Builder.
Manage keys in BI analytics
Choose the dashboard visibility scope. Specify the Bitrix24 sections to display a dashboard. Select one from the list, open the Menu (≡), and select Settings. In the pop-up window, set the desired areas.
Disable BI Builder. If you switch to the Basic or Free plan, you can manually disable BI Builder. Be aware that this will delete all user dashboards, datasets, and settings. If you upgrade to a suitable plan later, you'll need to set up your dashboards again. Note that you can only re-enable BI Builder after 24 hours.
