To create a work schedule:

  1. Go to the Employees section.
  2. Click Time and reports.
  3. Select Work schedules.
  4. Click Add schedule.
  5. Configure the settings.

Choose a schedule type, set a reporting period, and select the employees for this schedule.
Work schedule types

Work hours. Select the working days, hours, and break duration.

Working time control. Select which events to control:

  • Clock-in and clock-out
  • Clock-in only

Track schedule violations. Select which types of schedule violations you want to track:

  • Clock-in and clock-out: Set required times for clocking in and out. If an employee violates these times, notifications will be sent to the selected recipients.

  • Working hours per day: If an employee works fewer hours than specified, the selected users will be notified.

  • Maximum length of time to shift clock-in and clock-out times: Set how much employees can edit their clock-in and clock-out times. Edits beyond this limit will trigger a violation notification.

  • Maximum underworked hours for reporting period: Define how many total hours an employee can underwork during the selected period. Exceeding this limit will trigger a violation notification.

Notifications about violations can also be sent to an employee’s supervisor. To use this option, make sure your company structure is configured.

A Shifts schedule includes additional options for tracking violations:

  • Maximum length of time to shift clock-in and clock-out times: Set how much employees can edit their clock-in and clock-out times. Edits beyond this limit will trigger a violation notification.

  • Shift start: Specify how late an employee can start their shift.

  • Missed a shift: A notification is sent if the employee doesn't start their shift at all.

Restrictions. Choose the devices employees can use to manage their work time:

  • Web browser
  • Mobile app
  • Both options

Important: Adjust a work schedule before an employee clocks in. If you make changes during the workday, the Worktime section will show two entries: one for the time worked before the change and another marked as Expired.

In that case, the employee will need to clock out and provide a reason. If the recorded time is incorrect, the administrator can edit it in the Worktime tab.
