Employees belonging to various departments usually work according to different time schedules. Create work schedules for your company employees to manage their work time efficiently.
Go to the Employees section > Time and reports tab > Work schedules.
There are three types of work schedules in Bitrix24:
Fixed schedule
A fixed schedule allows you to closely control the employees' working time and monitor schedule violations. It is also beneficial if the wage in your company is determined by the actual hours worked by each employee.
To configure this type of schedule, apply the following settings:
- Select Fixed as schedule type.
- Specify the schedule title or keep the default one.
- Select the reporting period: a month, a week, two weeks, a quarter.
- Select the employees or departments who will work according to this schedule. If you need to assign the schedule to a department but exclude a specific employee, you can add them to the list of exceptions.
- Specify working days, work hours, and a break duration. The total duration will be displayed automatically.
- Select holidays and weekends. Click the gear button to choose a country whose holidays should be considered as non-working days in the schedule. You can also specify other additional days off.

Shifts schedule
A shifts schedule is a method for scheduling employees in rotations. You can define the timed blocks for each employee in which they must start and end the working day.
To configure this type of schedule, apply the following settings:
- Select Shifts as schedule type.
- Specify the schedule title or keep the default one.
- Choose the reporting period.
- Select the employees or departments who will work in shifts. If you need to assign the schedule to a department but exclude a specific employee, you can add them to the list of exceptions.

What do shift colors mean
Future shifts are marked with a green color in the schedule.
If it's red, it means that an employee has missed the shift.
Yellow color means an employee has clocked-in earlier than his/her shift starts according to the schedule. In this case, the supervisor needs to approve changes. Otherwise, this work time won't be counted.
