Voice and video calls

We understand that more and more companies are starting to use Bitrix24 for video calls and voice calls. We're working hard on improving the connection quality. Thanks for using Bitrix24!

Calls between employees

To call an employee,

  1. Select a chat in the chat list.

  2. Click the small arrow in the top right corner and select Voice call or Video call.

  3. Allow Bitrix24 chat to access the camera and microphone. Once the connection is established, start a conversation.

If your camera and microphone are blocked, you can change this in your browser settings. For example, in Google Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Permissions. Find your Bitrix24 address and allow access to the camera and microphone.

Click Chat to send messages to the person you're talking to or to others while you're on the call. You can also invite new users to join the chat during your video call.

Click Return to call to go back to the video call screen.

Group calls

Create a private group chat and perform a video call to start a group call.

You can also invite other users after starting the call or disconnect from it.

The call window will appear in the same chat window when calling in the browser.

  • You can make voice and video calls in both private and public chats.

  • Calls work in web browsers, and Bitrix24 desktop and mobile apps.

  • The maximum number of call participants:
    • All commercial plans - 48 participants.
    • Free plan - 12 participants.
    • If a chat has more people than the limit, you can use Zoom for group video calls.

  • The call duration is unlimited.

  • Group voice and video calls can be recorded only in Bitrix24 desktop app for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Call window

The following buttons are available in the call window to access the additional features:

  • Speaker mode or Grid mode: Speaker mode shows only the person talking. Grid mode shows everyone's video.

  • Fullscreen: Maximize the call window.

  • Add: Add new participants to the call.

  • Mic: Turn your microphone on or off, or pick a different one if you have more than one.

  • Camera: Turn your camera on or off, or choose a different one if you have more than one.

  • Chat: Switch to the chat window without ending the ongoing call.

  • Raise hand: Use this to signal you want to speak without interrupting. It's for calls with more than two people. A hand icon shows up to let others know.

  • Screen: Share your screen with others.

  • Record: Start recording the call (this is only for the Bitrix24 desktop app).

  • Document: Make a call brief or create and edit documents together.

  • Disconnect: Click this button to hang up the call.
