You can create channels in the Bitrix24 web version and in the mobile app.

Web version
Mobile app

Open chats and click on the pencil icon. Select Channel from the menu.

Specify a channel name, a description and choose a channel type.

Public. The channel will show up in the channel list. Anyone can subscribe and view channel posts.

Private. The channel will be visible to subscribers only. Channel owner can assign permission to add new chat members.

The Channels section contains a list of all public channels. You can set up notifications, enable or disable them in the sidebar.

Assign the channel owner and the administrators. Configure access permissions and select who can:

  • add subscribers. You can add specific employees, departments, or the entire company
  • remove subscribers from the channel
  • add publications to the channel

Create a channel, add employees and start sharing important information and news.

There are two counters:

  • green — for comments,
  • blue — for posts.

Public channels that you are not a member of can be found in the Channels tab. Channels to which you are subscribed can be found under Chats.

If you mention employees via @ sign in a public channel, they is not a member of, they will receive a notification with a link to the specific comment. They will be able to open and reply to it. If you mention an employee in a private channel, you will not receive a notification.
