Types of Bitrix24 chats

Bitrix24 offers five chat types. Each one supports a different use case. Choose the option that fits your workflow:


Group chats

Use group chats to handle day-to-day team communication. They work well for:

  • Project discussions
  • Deadline updates
  • File sharing
  • Task coordination

A team discusses a landing page. They agree on the structure, review designs, and assign a development task—all in one chat.

Channels

Channels work best for important updates that everyone should see. Messages stay visible and don’t get buried in conversations.

Key features:

  • Quick setup — add a whole department or company at once
  • Auto subscription — new employees join automatically; former employees lose access
  • Access permissions — control who can post and manage participants
  • Statistics — track likes and comments

For example, a manager posts a project plan. The team reviews key dates and tasks, then asks questions in the comments.

Chats with CoPilot

CoPilot is an AI assistant inside Bitrix24 chats. Use it to handle tasks faster.

For example, you run a training program. Invite an external expert to a collab. Participants access materials, join calls, and complete tasks in one space.

Video conferences

Use video conferences to meet with people outside your company.

To join a video conference, participants need to follow a link and enter a password. They don’t need to register in Bitrix24 or download an app. They can join from a phone or computer.

For example, a manager presents a website layout to a client, shares their screen, and answers questions in real time.
