A collab is a workspace for working with clients and external teams. You can chat, share files, create tasks, and schedule meetings in one place.
For example, if you work in an architectural firm, you can invite contractors, designers, and clients to a collab. This helps everyone stay aligned and resolve tasks faster.
Configure access permissions to a collab
Invite an employee
- Open the collab chat.
- Click Add (+) in the upper-right corner.
- Open the Employees tab.
- Select employees from the list or click Add.
- Click Invite.
The employee is added to the chat automatically.
Invite a guest
You can invite a contractor or client who is not in your Bitrix24 account.
- Click Add (+) in the upper-right corner.
- Open the Guests tab.
Allow employees to invite guests
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Employees tab.
- Expand Invitations.
- Turn on Guests (external users) can be invited to collabs.
Ways to invite a guest
By the link. Click Copy link and send it to the guest. To disable the current link, click the update icon next to Copy link. The system generates a new link and deactivates the old one.
By phone number. Enter your phone number and click Invite. The guest receives an SMS with a link to join the collab.
By email. Enter the mailbox address and click Invite. The guest receives an email invitation.
Invitation history appears in the collab chat. When a guest joins, you see a notification.
Guests who have not accepted the invitation appear in the participant list. They are marked in green.
If a guest accepts the invitation, their role shows as Guest. If not, their profile shows Invitation was not accepted.
