How it works

Call tracking uses different phone numbers to track where your clients are coming from. Each number is linked to a specific marketing channel or client.

There are two types of call tracking:

  • Static: Each marketing channel has a unique phone number. For example, one phone number might appear on a billboard, while another is used in a TV commercial. If a call comes through the billboard number, you know that’s where the client saw your business.
  • Dynamic: Each website visitor sees a unique phone number. The system automatically swaps phone numbers for each visitor. This method only works for online marketing.

Bitrix24 uses static call tracking. It’s a cost-effective solution for small and medium-sized businesses and works both online and offline.


What phone numbers can be used for call tracking

In Bitrix24, you can rent phone numbers for call tracking. The cost depends on the country and city.

You can also connect your own numbers purchased from any provider.


How to assign a phone number to an ad source

  1. Go to CRM.
  2. Click Analytics.
  3. Expand Real-time analytics.
  4. Select Sales Intelligence.
  5. Click Call tracking.
  6. Add your phone numbers.
  7. Assign a number to an ad source, like Facebook.
  8. Click Save.

When someone visits your website from Facebook, this number will appear. If you add several numbers, only the first one will be used for that ad source.

When a call comes in through this number, it will appear in the Customer journey field in CRM. This displays the client’s activity history. With Sales Intelligence, you can track the entire path—from the first interaction to the final deal.
