Invite a customer to Telegram chat from mobile CRM

Connect Telegram to Bitrix24 in the mobile app

You can connect Telegram to Bitrix24 from the mobile app. Send a customer an SMS with a link to your Telegram bot, then continue the conversation in chat. Bitrix24 saves the chat history in the related CRM item.

To use Invite to chat, connect a Telegram bot to Bitrix24 first.


Connect Telegram

Only users with access to Open Channels can connect Telegram to Bitrix24.

You need an access token to connect a Telegram bot. You can get the token when you create a new bot or request it for an existing bot.

Telegram connects to the first Open Channel you created. You can choose a different Open Channel in the web version.

To connect Telegram:

  1. Open a CRM item.
  2. Tap the button at the bottom to view communication channels.
  3. Select Connect Telegram.
  4. Enter the access token.
  5. Tap Continue.
  6. Set up the agent queue. Selected users will receive incoming Telegram messages.
  7. Save the changes.

After setup, copy the link and send it to your customer. You can also show the customer the generated QR code.


Invite a customer to chat

  1. Open a CRM item.
  2. In the Details or Timeline tab, tap + in the bottom-right corner.
  3. Select Invite to chat.

If the deal has several contacts, select the contact you want to invite to Telegram. Then choose a service to send the SMS.

To send SMS messages, set up an integration with a messaging service first. You can use the built-in Twilio integration or install another SMS app from Bitrix24 Market.

You can check the message status in the deal timeline. When the customer opens the link and starts a chat, you can open the chat from the deal.

You can also go to Chats > Open Channels to open the Telegram chat.

You can use the generated Telegram bot link or QR code on your website, in emails, and in marketing campaigns.
