Ping messages in tasks

Ping messages are system comments in the tasks. They appear after changing the task deadline, assignee, observers, or participants.

Ping messages keep users updated on the latest task changes. After you check a task and its updates, these messages will hide so they don't disturb you.

You can send a ping message to the task, requesting its current status. Here's how:

  1. Go to Tasks and Projects and select Tasks.

  2. Choose a task and open the menu (☰) on its left.

  3. Select Ping from the drop-down list of actions.

As a result, the assignee receives a notification.

Also, the ping message appears in the task.

The ping messages are sent to the task assignee and participants. These system comments are hidden from the other users involved in the task.

To view all the hidden system messages later, click the Show pings button.

You can send a ping message to the task in the Bitrix24 mobile app. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Tasks section in the bottom menu.

  2. Choose a task and keep your finger on it.

  3. Select Ping from the list of actions.

The assignee receives a notification, requesting the task's current status. The system message also displays in comments.

To view all the hidden system messages later, go to Comments and tap Show pings.
