Custom fields store extra customer details when CRM system fields do not fit your needs. You can limit who can see these fields.

Configure custom field visibility
CRM administrators and Bitrix24 administrators can limit field visibility. Bitrix24 administrators can see all fields, no matter which visibility settings are applied.
Access Permissions in CRM
For example, you can limit access to a passport data field in the contact form.
- Click the Settings icon and select Configure.
- Select Make this field visible to selected users only.
- Click +Add and select the users and departments that can see the field and its data.
- Save the settings.
How custom fields with limited visibility work
Fields with limited visibility work like standard fields. You can use them in document templates, and they can be required when merging duplicates.
When an employee works with an item that has hidden fields, some CRM processes may have limits.
Merge duplicates. An employee cannot merge duplicates if they do not have access to some fields in the form.

Use fields in CRM document templates. Custom field data will not appear in a document if the employee does not have access to that field.
