Google Analytics is a set of tools that helps you collect site statistics, visitor data, and marketing performance data. It tracks events on your site, such as page views, form submissions, and file downloads.

How analytics data is collected
Google Analytics automatically collects data from a site that has a tracking code installed. You can view and analyze this data in your account dashboard.
Connect Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4
Open the Google Analytics website and create an account.
Enter an account name and go to the next step.
Enter a property name. Then select a time zone and currency.
By default, Google creates a Google Analytics 4 property. To create a Universal Analytics property, open Advanced options and turn on the option to create a Universal Analytics property.
Enter your website address. Then choose one of these options: create both property types or create a Universal Analytics property only.
Add your business information and click Create.
To view your properties, go to Admin and open the property list.
You will see two properties: UA — use this one to get the Universal Analytics tracking ID and GA4 — use this one to get the Google Analytics 4 ID. Google creates a separate ID for each analytics type.
To get the tracking code, click Data Streams. Select a stream and open its settings.
Copy the stream ID.
Paste the ID into your site settings. Save the changes and republish the site.
If you connect Google Analytics in the site settings, Bitrix24 collects data from all pages. To collect data from one page only, add the stream ID in that page's settings.
Connect Google Analytics 4 when Universal Analytics is already set up
Go to Admin. Open GA4 Setup Assistant and choose what you want to do: create a new property or connect an existing Google Analytics 4 property.
