Create your site in Bitrix24

For most people, creating a website seems to be a very complicated task that can be handled by professionals only. With Bitrix24.Sites it becomes really quick and easy! You don't need to know any programming language or have experience in this field. With a few clicks, your brand-new website is ready to be published!

In this article:

How to create a site

Go to the Sites and stores section of the left menu > Sites and click the Create button.

Then select a template that fits your line of business, or use an empty one.

How to add and edit blocks

To place the necessary blocks on your site, click the Add block button.

Bitrix24.Sites has a large set of blocks. Place your company contacts, photo galleries, videos and much more. You'll find blocks to implement any ideas for your site.

When the site structure is ready and all the blocks are placed, you need to add content and edit the design. Each block has two panels to work with it.

The panel on the left has three buttons: Edit, Superblock, and Design.

  • Edit - click this button if you want to access all the settings related to content. Available settings are different for each block type.

  • Superblock - this is a mode in which you can manage the elements within the blocks of your site.

Read more about it in the article: Superblock on Bitrix24.Sites.
  • Design - click this button if you want to change the design of the block. Also, here you can add an image generated with the help of AI.

Read more about design configuration in the article: Change design in Bitrix24.Sites and Stores.

On the right panel, you can see the Actions menu, arrows and trash icons.

Click on the arrows to move a block up and down. To remove a block, use the Trash button.

Under Actions, there are some additional options:

Hide block Use this option if you don't want to show a block on the published site. To turn it back, select Show block in the actions menu.
Cut Select this option to cut a block from the selected part of the site. Then you can paste it to another part.

Use this option to copy a block to the clipboard.

This button allows you to paste the cut and copied blocks.

Here you can leave your feedback to help us improve Bitrix24.Sites.

Save as custom block This option allows saving a configured block as a template. It is placed in the list of blocks so that you can use it when adding a new block.

How to publish your site

By default, sites have the Auto publish option enabled. As soon as you make the first edit, the site is published automatically. Also, all changes will be immediately displayed on the site. You won't lose your changes if you forget to save them or close a browser tab.

If the Auto publish option is disabled, and you want to see your edits, click the Preview button.

Read more in the article - Auto publish and preview options and site navigation.

At the top of the page there is a set of icons that allow you to preview the web, the tablet, and the mobile versions of the site.

Read more in the article - Visual editor for mobile sites.

Once you have finished editing, click Publish and your site will be immediately available online. If the Auto publish option is enabled, you don't need to publish the site.

The number of published sites depends on your current Bitrix24 plan. If you downgrade your subscription plan, you won't be able to edit any websites until you unpublish some of your sites to meet the limitation.
