When you open a report, BI Builder retrieves new data from the database. To improve report loading speed, BI Builder cachesCache is a hardware or software component that temporarily stores data for faster access. Databases cache queries and results to speed up data processing. data for one hour. During this time, no new queries are sent to the database. Reports display data from the cache.
The cache timer starts when the report is opened for the first time. For example, a manager created a deal at 2:00 PM and opened the report. Then the manager created another deal at 2:10 PM. The second deal will not appear in the report immediately. It will become available after the cache refreshes at 3:00 PM.
If you need the latest data, manually refresh the data in your dashboards.
Go to BI Builder > Settings > General preferences.
Click Update data now. This refreshes data for all dashboards. Hover over the button to see when the next refresh will be available.
