Workflows are sets of actions that help you manage daily tasks. Use them to approve invoices, assign tasks to employees, or process leave requests.
You can start workflows from the Feed or from the Automation section.
The updated start page shows key details for each workflow:
- Name. Use the name to find a workflow. Click the question mark to view its description.
- Action. Shows how quickly the workflow is usually completed.
- Last run. Start a workflow directly from the list.
- In progress. Shows active workflows. Use it to review workload and execution time. Click the number next to a workflow to see who started it and who is working on it. The list shows the last 20 workflows.
- Last updated by. Shows who last edited the workflow template.
Pin frequently used workflows to the top of the list. Select a workflow and click Start.
A page opens with tips for completing the workflow and the average completion time.
Click Next, fill in the required fields, and click Start.
Start a workflow with constants
Workflows can include constants. These are fixed values that rarely change.
For example, a Leave Approval workflow may include constants such as Final approver and Processor. Set these values in the workflow template parameters.
Business processes templates parameters
You cannot start a workflow with constants until an administrator sets these values.
If a user without admin permissions tries to start such a workflow, they will see this message: "Workflow can be started after the administrator has specified the constants."
Contact your Bitrix24 administrator to add the required constant values.
