Limit on workflows initialization in CRM

Bitrix24 limits workflow initialization in CRM. You can run no more than two workflows per itemIn Bitrix24, a CRM item can be a lead, deal, contact, company, invoice, estimate, or SPA item. simultaneously. For example, if two workflows are already running in the Equipment purchase deal, a third can start only after one of the current workflows completes.

The limit ensures stable operation of your Bitrix24 and applies to all cloud plans.

Here's how the workflow initialization limit works:

  • Workflows with the Autorun option enabled, whether when creating or editing an item, start sequentially. The template with the lowest ID will run first.

  • If workflow templates don't include waiting activities like Pause Execution or Employee working day pause, they will all start one after the other. For example, when a deal is changed, five workflows will start sequentially.

  • If two workflows with waiting activities are running in a CRM item, the next workflow won't start until one of the current ones is completed.

  • If a workflow with waiting activities is running in a CRM item, other workflows without these activities can run at the same time. For example, when creating a deal, one workflow with waiting activities will start, while five others without waiting will run sequentially.

The limit on workflow initialization in CRM doesn't affect the Bitrix24 On-premise version.

To ensure smooth operation, consider the number of workflows running in the same CRM item. Set priorities and prepare templates in advance to manage workflows efficiently and avoid delays.
