Add file from Drive to Knowledge base

In the knowledge base, you can add a document link or a file from your Drive to the button. To do that, open your knowledge base in edit mode and follow the instructions provided below.

  1. Click Add block, select the Buttons and links section, and pick a block you prefer.

  2. Under Action on click, click the small arrow next to Select action and choose Open file from the drop-down list.

  3. Then click the small arrow next to Select file.

  4. A pop-up window will appear. Find the desired file on your Drive and click on it.

  5. Then click the green Select document button.

Don't forget to save the changes of the block. Now, when users click on the button, the file will be opened for viewing.

The first time you view a file, it may take a while to convert it. File size determines the time. The main supported file types are:

  • .docx
  • .xlsx
  • .pptx
  • .pdf
  • .jpg
  • .gif
  • .png
  • .mp4

If the file is not supported by the converter, you can download it.
