Blend data sources in Google Looker Studio reports

In Google Looker Studio, you can blend multiple data sources and build reports from different entities. For example, you can combine deals with their custom fields.

Blend data sources

First, create the required data sources. For more information, see the article: Transfer entities from CRM to Google Looker Studio.

1. Open the Data sources section in Google Looker Studio. You will see a list of all available data sources.

2. Open the Reports tab and create a Blank Report.

3. Select your data source and click Add.

4. Open File > Report Settings.

5. In the settings, select the data source and set the date range. Make sure the range includes the deals you want to use in the report.

6. Click the table and select Blend data in the Setup tab.

7. Drag the Unique Key field to Metrics.

8. Add another table with the required data source.

9. Move the Deal ID field to the parameter field.

10. Open the Join configuration section. Here you can review how the tables are connected.

11. In the Join conditions section, add the Unique key and Deal ID fields to link the data sources.

12. Add the required fields to the table, such as the deal name and custom fields.

Possible error

While creating the report, you may see the Invalid indicator error in the Setup section.

Delete the indicator, then generate the report again.

Save the report

When you finish the setup, click Save. The table will display data from deals and custom fields.
